Isn’t it so exiting when it is your first time to join a gym? It feels great to finally make a step into making a healthy living. But then almost of us couldn’t stand on promises we deal with ourselves and we would always make excuses not to attend gym.
Summer vacations tend to keep us stay away from the gym until we do not simply want to work out!
Studies show that the average health club member in the United States of America spends only about 90 days at the gym per year. This is reported by The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association.
So what are the things that can make us motivated to exercise? Here are some great ideas that would definitely help us!
Look for an exercise buddy. We would always want to go to gym with friends or someone we can meet at the gym at a particular time. This will automatically make us more likely to show up. Invite your friends or someone along. They will surely appreciate it.
Get to know the people in the gym. One of the why a many women enjoy Pick up the Pace a lot is that it is part exercise facility and social club as well. Going with family and friends to the gym makes the time go by so fast having fun while exercising.
Have a conversation or talk to your doctor. Exercise is definitely good for our health and the best thing we can do for ourselves. Aside from it prevents cancer; it can also lower our blood pressure as well as keeping us stay slim. It is very encouraging to hear about our improvement from our doctor. Share information about your fitness records with your doctor. He will be happy of what you are doing and will surely encourage you.
Make a chart of your Progress! Write down your fitness goals; take time to keep a food journal or an exercise log. Post it anywhere you can see it every day. It can be a great motivation seeing daily progress to our goals.
Give yourself a Reward! If you think it would be too hard for you to lose for example 80 pounds, it has killed your motivation then. You have to avoid discouraging thoughts like this and reward yourself smaller accomplishments. Treat yourself when you lose few pounds. Then a bigger treat when you’re halfway to your goal. These small steps will help you make up a long journey. You have accomplished your goal before you even know it!
